Some of the more modern drone models separate flights by folder, but some do not.

For those drones that do not segment automatically, figuring out where one flight starts and another ends within a folder with hundreds of images can be a time consuming task. This is where the upload tool can help.

The tool is most useful trying to upload many different flights in a single push.

This is how it works:

  1. Select any number of images in a folder.
  2. The portal will read GPS and time data from all images and visualize them on the map.
  3. Images that were taken at similar times will be grouped together into flights.
  4. Each flight gets converted into a separate capture, which is a single 3D recreation of flown area.
  5. If the software detects more than one flight, where they should actually be one, they can be merged using the "Merge" button
    1. Click on the checkbox of any flights you want to merge
    2. Click "Merge flights"
  6. When the flights represent the captures you want to create. Press "Upload"
