You can use Skysset to perform density measurements. The process is slightly different from a regular capture.
- First, you must create a new stockpile made from a SINGLE MATERIAL.
- Be sure to accurately weigh every load of material collected in the stockpile
- Make sure the stockpile is sufficiently separated from other materials so that the will not get mixed.
- For best results, make the stockpile as cone shaped as possible. Avoid flat stockpiles.
- Make a regular capture of the yard at 40 meter (120 ft) flying height or less
- Revuew how a single stockpile capture is performed
- If the area covered by the drone during flight is too small, GPS uncertainty becomes an important factor in scale estimation.
- Make sure your flight covers an area at least 30 meters by 30 meters, or 90 ft by 90 ft.
- If regular yard captures are taken a heights above 40 meters (120 ft),
- Measure the stockpile's volume with Skysset
- Divide weight by volume to get density
